My Strategy for Vocabulary

I plan on studying the words on my own.  I do not work well with a partner because i always seem to lose focus.  When i study by myself I am concentrated on the words and do not go off subject.  I plan on looking at 20 words each night this week.  I don't only plan on looking at the words I also plan to memorize them so that they will not be hard to recognize on the midterm.

Revision Strategy

On my next essay i will focus more on using literary terms while i explain the story.  I plan on making my essay more organized as well.  I will organize my essay by making paragraphs and writing the sentences that belong in each paragraph.

Amicable- friendly
My friends dog was very amicable and would never bite anyone.
Averse- opposed, reluctant
Confederates were averse to letting slaves go free.
Belligerent- aggresively hostile; waging war
Generals become belligerent when their troops are attacked by enemies.
Benevolent- Charitable good nature
People that like to donate to the poor are benevolent.
Cursory- not thorough
Someone that tells a story without giving important details is cursory.
Duplicity- deliberate deceptiveness in behavior or speech.
It is considered duplicity when someone deceives someone else on purpose.
Extol- To praise lavishly.
