Online Security

I learned a lot about online security that i didn't think about before.  I learned that there are a lot of viruses and you have to be very careful about what you click on.  Even though things seem exciting and interesting in an exaggerating way, they are most likely scams.  Scams can really take a bad effect in your life by stealing all of your personal information.  I will be very aware and cautious about things on the internet.

Intercede- To plead on another's behalf.

Hackneyed- over used and thus cheapened.
The value of the toy was hackneyed.

Approbation- official approval.
The kid had recieved approbation to go to the party.

Innuendo- an indirect or subtle and usually derogatory implication in expression.
The girl gave the boy an innuendo stare.

Coalition- an alliance of faction, parties, or nations
The rivals made a coalition against their same enemy.

Elicit- to call forth.
The teacher elicited the student to the desk.

Hiatus- a gap or interruption in space, time, or continuity.
The scientists discovered a hiatus in their experiment.

Assuage- to make less burden some or painful.
The ice pack assauged the bruise.

Decadence- a process, condition or period of deterioration or decline, as in morals or art.
It was a decadence day at school today.

Expostulate- to reason earnestly with someone in an effort to dissuade or correct.
The child was trying to expostulate with their mom.

Simulate- to have or take on the appearance, form, or sound of.
The boy was trying to simulate a strong man.

Jaded- tired, bored, or lacking enthusiasm.
After the soccer game the boy was jaded.

Umbrage- offense or annoyance.
The screaming baby was causing umbruge.

Prerogative- A right or privilege exclusive to a particular individual or class.
He has the prerogative to say whatever he wants.

Lurid- Very vivid in color.
The painting on the wall was very lurid.

Transcend- Go beyond the range or limits of.
The man was succeeding in a transcend kind of way.

Provincial- of or concerning a province of a country or empire.
The country was provincial of the other countries.

Petulant- displaying or characterized by bad humor.
The stand up comedian was petulant.

Unctuous- Greasy or soapy to the touch.
The student had very unctuous skin.

Meritorious- deserving of reward; praise.
The man was meritorious for finding the lost boy.

Goodman Brown was an interesting story that i read.  It was hard to comprehend but what i got out of it most is that this story was wierd in the sense that he had a dream about the devil.  I get the feeling that he is frustrated about something in order to have a dream like this.  I didn't quite understand this story but i feel like Goodman Brown is worried or stressed about something which made him dream about losing his wife.

This first week in Dr. Prestons English class i could tell that my knowledge of English is going to Burgeon.  Dr. preston is Didactic about teaching us proper English.  I am going to focus on school and be Ascetic about doing all of my homework and i will not be Contumacious towards Dr. Preston.  I am not going to be Curmudgeon towards my classmates rather i will Complement on the achievements they accomplish.  This idea about the blog seems awesome and is not Bauble, it is the Apotheosis to the class.  So far Dr. Preston has not taught any lessons in an Adumbrate way.  I am very excited for this year of English and the blogs are Beguile by making me want to learn more and do more in my English class.
